This book was designed to empower, enable, and assist ALL music educators (mainly high school) in creating a vehicle for all students to receive a proper music and performance education. The contributors to this project have all had collective success (be it competitively and/or growth of their programs) at literally EVERY level of the marching arts activity from middle school parade bands to DCI/WGI World Championships. These educators BELIEVE in these young performers and want the best opportunities available for ALL students. This is not a “How to…look at how we did it” text book. This book was developed to provide options, processes, ideas, applications, and resource directions that have been proven successful in the activity at all levels. We hope that this resource will benefit your students (first and foremost) and make your job as directors a tad bit easier.
